In this presentation Dr Bell will describe fundamentals of Critical Participatory Action Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, reasons for its creation and ethics of participatory research praxes. A decolonial turn toward engaging in research with historically marginalised community members will also be discussed. Distinctions will be made between Critical Participatory Action Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and westernised modes of Action Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in an effort to address the question, can academics in the global north engage in participatory action research?
